I’d have given it 5 stars if not for missing words and wrong-word choices. Engaging characters and complex plots keep the reader engaged. However, the characters can often be found “racking” their brains and other objects. It’s also annoying when characters “jump” into sedans. I’m pretty sure that would result in wracked brains.I wish good storytellers would invest a few bucks in a decent copy editor so dumb mistakes wouldn’t distract the reader from the world inside the book.

I really enjoyed the witty dialog and galloping plot. Many unbelievable twists and turns but wickedly funny.
I absolutely loved this book. Will definitely buy however many more there are in the series. Had me laughing out loud. Love Lora and Pinkie!
Thoroughly charming main character- origional, worldly, and wickedly funny Lora is a pleasure to follow about on this improbable but entertaining story. Generally not my genre of books but even if you're not a fan of romantic adventures you'll love this just for the pure enjoyment of the smart and captivating writing. Eagerly anticipating book 2!
I have to say this was a fun book. I loved the characters, the story was great, with twists. Definitely will read the second book. Good series, hope there are more books.
Just got back from a weekend on the beach and this was the perfect book to read. Nissa is funny, witty and brilliantly took me through all the twists and turns that "Champagne Float" takes. The main character - Lora Godwin, is wonderfully crafted. Without giving away too much of the plot, she is complex yet so realistic that I saw parts of her in many of my friends. You will definitely have a giggle reading this.
Nissa grabbed my attention pg.1 and I spent all day reading this book---and it was well worth it!!!! Love this series--my new favorite. I spend most of my day reading complex materials and to unwind, I love a fun mystery like this one! A surprise ending you never see coming.....and the author has incredibly detailed knowledge of the locations she describes. This authenticity really brings them to life! A really great read-once you read this you have to read "Champagne Gold" By Ms. Alexandrov next!!!
Thank you for this exciting mystery about Lora and the crazy people she gets involved with as a hostess. I was really fooled about the ending, but enjoyed the storyline and the many characters. I loved the funny situations she got into. I look forward to reading more of your work.
