Michael's Bridge is one of those books that keeps you glued to the pages because you can't wait to find out how it ends. The author takes you on a journey through his life and the life of his father with tremendous honesty and imparts great advise and wisdom along the way. The book is easy to read and takes you from life's lows to life's highs.
This is a fast read because it is such a good story. Not only do you get to read about a survivor of a terribly dysfunctional family you get to see how he had great economic success and then have it dissappear. This is a story of loss, growth,economic loss and hopefully spiritual rebirth. It takes you through a baby boomers highs and lows and a spirit that can't be broken. This book should also be read in the context of a life in America from the decade of the 50s right through to today. I recommend it!
A wonderful human story with soul baring honesty! The author brings his life to the pages loud and clear...very enjoyable!!
I like the book for I knew the author. Learning something you thought was true but never asked kept me interested.
It's a quick read. If you want to think about what you did right or wrong along the way this is a must read.
