Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was an American author of novels and short stories, whose works are the paradigm writings of the Jazz Age, a term he coined himself. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century. Fitzgerald is considered a member of the "Lost Generation" of the 1920s. He finished four novels This Side of Paradise, The Beautiful and Damned, his most famous, The Great Gatsby and what is now considered his true masterpiece, Tender Is the Night. A fifth, unfinished novel, The Love of the Last Tycoon, was published posthumously. Fitzgerald also wrote many short stories that treat themes of youth and promise along with despair and age.

What a disappointment.......and pain in the neck! I did read the reviews, especially Michael Stodghill's. Obviously, he did not have the Kindle version of this book. And then there was the review that said they didn't know what the Kindle owners were complaining about. You can get a table of contents by tapping on the top of the page. Yeah, right. Mr. Stodghill said "the Great Gatsby" is in this collection. Nope. 99 cents isn't much but the aggravation is priceless. Don't buy this. I'm going to have to call Amazon on this and complain.Product details

The Collected Works of F Scott Fitzgerald 45 Short Stories and Novels edition by F Scott Fitzgerald Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
F Scott Fitzgerald was an amazing writer. The Great Gatsby alone is a classic but it is wonderful to have all his work in one volume.
As an avid Fitzgerald fan I have been looking for a long time for a complete collection in one volume that I could add to my personal library. This book is it! It is a beautiful blue hardcover that has blue gilding on the pages. The kindle version may not be as nice, but the actual book can't be beat!
I have been reading the novels and short stories of F. Scott Fitzgerald for many years and have enjoyed them very much, especially his short stories. Although he only wrote five novels and about 120 short stories(not counting the 17 Pat Hobby stories), it has been nearly impossible to find a stand alone hardcover volume that contained all five of those novels over the years and I had almost given up hope. I usually had to buy separate paperbacks of "The Great Gatsby" and other novels which eventually became worn or loaned out to friends never to return. That has all changed now with this beautiful hardcover edition from the Wordsworth Library Collection called "THE COLLECTED WORKS OF F. SCOTT FITZGERALD". Included in this 1455 page massive edition are all four novels that the author completed and published during his lifetime "This Side of Paradise"(1920), "The Beautiful and Damned"(1922), "The Great Gatsby"(1925), "Tender is the Night"(1932) and the novel he was working on at the time of his death, the unfinished "The Last Tycoon"(1941). In addition to the above mentioned novels, this new Wordsworth Library Collection contains twenty-four of his short stories. Some of these short stories had appeared in the 1989 hardcover "The Short Stories of F. Scott Fitzgerald" edited by Matthew Bruccoli which brought together forty-three of his best known short works. This new Wordsworth Library Volume comes in a handsome blue hardcover binding with raised gold lettering on the front(Note There is no dust jacket so handle with care) and keeps the same design as their previous volumes on such novelists as Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters and Lewis Carroll among others. There is a table of contents that lists the page number that each novel and short story starts. Wordsworth Library Editions is based in Great Britian but this volume is available from . I paid about $17.00 including shipping, which takes about 10 to 14 days to arrive. If you love F. Scott Fitzgerald and want to have a beautifully bound hardcover for your library then I highly recommend "The Collected Works of F. Scott Fitzgerald". You can check out other Wordsworth Editions on their website [...]
Yeah, I'm going to parse judgement on F. Scott.
Not all of Fitzgerald short stories stand the test of time, but when the prose is good, it's really good. I doubt that you will want to read this cover to cover. Keep it around, read a story here and there, go back to it every once in a while... t's sort of like a box of chocolates you sometimes get into when you're in the mood for it. Oh, and Benjamin Button is hidden in there somewhere, which makes owning this collection well worth your while.
I am planning on reading it again. It is also a classic and I just love the classic books. It is a great book for ones' library.
Many thanks, , you are GREAT for providing us with all these great books for FREE. I also want to thank the many, many authors who offer us their talent for free or at a reasonable price. THANKS
Woow, dissapointed that all the major novels are missing from the KINDLE edition?! Why not warning us that it radically differs the printed version?! This is very unfair and I'm thinking of canceling the buy.
So, be aware, that you actually miss "This Side of Paradise"(1920), "The Beautiful and Damned"(1922), "The Great Gatsby"(1925), "Tender is the Night"(1932) and the novel he was working on at the time of his death, the unfinished "The Last Tycoon"(1941).
additional regarding complies on missing Table of Content in the version, this is not true, it is available from Menu/GoTo and very well done
