Debbie the ferret lives in a pet store. One day, a man named Andrew takes her home. He shows her around the condo, and then introduces her to Charlie, the cat. Debbie is terrified, but soon she and Charlie become good friends, and Charlie teaches her about—everything! Come, let Debbie tell you all about ferrets and how they live, and read about all her adventures!

Debbie edition by Conny Manero Children eBooks

I've always known that my cats were much smarter than their estimated brain size. However, little did I know that when animals get together, they not only live in harmony, but they share notes on us!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the education of ferret Debbie by her wise and savvy mentor, Charlie the cat. Ms. Manero manages to creatively express the inner life of her animal characters in an engaging story that is both fascinating to children and humorous for adults.

I can't wait to take it to my 8 yr. old granddaughter this summer so that I can listen to her read it to me. I doubt she knows anything about ferrets (I didn't either), but the writer adds enough factual information about these little creatures to educate the reader as well.

"Debbie" is a fun read for all ages.

Debbie edition by Conny Manero Children eBooks Reviews

My son was bored with this book. Waste of money in my opinion! We read it once and never again
My daughter did not enjoy this book. It was disappointing as she loves animals and I had high hopes.
I thought perhaps the author was disconnected and perhaps does not understand children.
I really like that the author has written a creative story while weaving actual true facts about animals into the writing. It's so cute that we get to see the world through a ferret's eyes! This is a great read if you want a book that's both fun and educational for your kids. The illustrations are adorable, too! I think adults can appreciate the book as well, so you won't be bored reading it to your kids! Enjoy!
My son read this book - this is what he wrote

"I LOVE the book Debbie! I really like how you go into the world of the ferret and the cat and see all the things they do - watching movies, reading newspapers, even typing blogs! I also like how that when the humans are here, they have to not do these things and act like a cat or ferret, or whatever animal you are, but when the humans are away, the fun begins!"
Joey, age 10
